For 2003 the GL1800 continued with the same 1832 cc six-cylinder, five-speed-plus-reverse drivetrain and shaft drive. Electronic rear preload adjustment with memory settings, linked brakes and the big fairing with adjustable screen kept it at the top of the touring class. Changes for the year were limited to detail and colour updates.
